Urgent Prayer for Haiti
14 Jan 2010
Yesterday, we received this e-mail from Pastor Mario Moxey of Bahamas Harvest Church in Nassau, Bahamas. As believers, prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have to pierce darkness and bring heaven into the earth. Please join us as we pray with his church on behalf of Haiti and all who have been affected by the earthquake. Haiti needs your prayers --- now! Here is Pastor Moxey’s message:
Over the past few hours we've been watching and praying as news of the largest earthquake in the Caribbean has literally demolished the capital city of Haiti, Port-Au-Prince. We're thankful to God that the tsunami warnings for surrounding nations have been recalled; however, our heart goes out to the 2 million people that live in the area where the earthquake took place.
I'll like to encourage you to pray for Haiti today between 12:00pm - 1:00pm EST, Wednesday, January 13. You don't have to pray for the whole hour but if we can pray wherever we are, at our offices, homes, schools, universities, churches, with family, friends, co-workers, whoever, I truly believe that what the devil meant for evil, God can turn it around for good. Let's pray together!
Please pray for the following:
That the "aftershocks" would cease.
That dry weather conditions will prevail.
That the family and loved ones of the victims of this disaster would be comforted.
That the trapped would be rescued.
That the injured would receive proper medical assistance.
That the survivors would receive aid and supplies.
That rescue workers would be adequate and properly outfitted with tools and equipment.
That relief workers would have more than enough food.
That Port-Au-Prince would be rebuilt stronger and better than it was before.
That God would be exalted in the nation of Haiti.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:19 "that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven." Let's agree that as Haiti is placed in the eyes of the world and it may receive the relief it so desperately needs.
